Welcome!
Homework this week includes a math fact sheet, reading, and spelling. It is due on Friday, October 5th.
Math: We have started doing 1 minute timed tests. I expect students to get at least 20 correct in one minute to move onto the next level. The levels are addition, subtraction, multiplication, and finally division. The paper your student brought home for homework this week is based on their first 1 minute test. Eventually (when I have enough timers), each student will time him or herself daily in school. He or she will graph the results and be responsible for setting and achieving goals.
Upcoming Dates:
Jog-a-Thon kickoff assembly: Monday, October 1st (packets will go home this day)
Jog-a-Thon: Thursday, October 11th (times for each grade have not yet been determined)
No School (furlough day): Friday, October 12th
